Cooking Grass-Fed Beef

Beef animals raised on pasture tend to produce a leaner product. That means you may want a meat thermometer, turn down the heat, and try super slow roasting for less tender cuts.

Farm Store

Our on-farm shop, "The Carriage House," features our own all-natural grass-fed beef products, Kalliroe pork, award-winning PastureLand cheeses & butter, our Millefiore honey, Stranlund Farm local preserves, Dry Weather Creek flours and baking mixes, White Earth wild rice, coffees, chocolates, books and hand-thrown Handeen pottery.

PasturelandThe families of PastureLand are proud to produce healthy food for your home. PastureLand dairy products are produced in southeast Minnesota from cows that spend their days grazing lush pastures. Research has shown that because our cows eat fresh grass, their milk contains up to three times more naturally occurring Omega-3 fatty acid which is the good fat your body needs. Milk from grass-fed animals also contains up to five times as much Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), a nutrient that is showing the potential to reduce the risk of cancer, obesity, diabetes, and a number of immune disorders.

Environmental stewardship and healthy cows are fundamental to PastureLand farmers. Our pastures prevent erosion while providing a humane environment for our cows and habitat for wildlife. When you buy PastureLand products you are assured of quality food from farm families who care about the future of our earth.

Green Routes Moonstone is proud to be a part of the Green Routes initiative to promote sustainable tourism in Minnesota, directing travelers to places where locally grown food and locally made products can be found.
